I have been resisting stories about Chris Benoit as I didn’t think anyone gave that much of a shit that a guy who pumped ‘roids into his body flipped out and killed a bunch of people. Hard to believe a roid freak would do that, I know. Sadly, there have been 60 pro wrestlers under the age of 45 who have died in the last 10 years so them killing themselves and others hasn’t been all that uncommon.
However, this twist makes it VERY interesting…
Fox is reporting that someone updated Benoit’s Wikipedia entry to say that that his wife was dead a full 13 hours before she was found by police.
Apparently the IP addresses indicate that the poster was from Connecticut. Coincidentally, the home of the WWE (parent company of ECW, Benoit’s league) Wiki pulled the entry citing insufficient evidence.
Later, another poster from Australia posted the same thing 20 minutes later with slightly more substantiation but it was pulled again for lack of sufficient evidence.
Could he have been updating his Wiki entry through proxy servers? That just adds a whole new level of sickness. Or did the WWE know more than they are letting on?
