There are shitty film openings (hello Nicole Kidman the last 7 years) and then there are Dennis Rodman in Simon Sez like bombs. Jessica Simpson’s Blonde Ambition falls in that rarefied Rodman territory as it was screen in Texas on a limited basis and according to THIS report, raked in a whopping $384.
That isn’t even enough to pay the support staff at each theater where the estimates are an audience of 6 people per screening. Again, I am betting the crew that normally sweeps up the shit every asshole and his mother dumps on the floor was larger.
Phenomenal. She better hope her next album doesn’t bomb or else she is on the express train to irrelevancy-ville.
Oh and on a side note, more people commented on how hilarious the downfall of her film was in the Slashfilm thread I posted up there than actually saw the film. Gold.
