OK let’s be fair here.
I don’t find the Evolution of Dance video to be all that super funny. I mean, white guy dancing is intrisically awkward and by extension humorous. However, it’s not ‘most viewed video in Youtube history’ funny.
With that said, Avril Lavigne fans have decided that her video for Girlfriend should be the most viewed of all time. They even have a website that auto-loops that piece of shit all day.
This is bullshit.
Seeing a true viral sensation take off is interesting. Seeing a few fan boys rigging the votes (*cough* Digg’s frontpage) is fucking GHEY!
So for all of you with Firefox, get the Greasemonkey extension (I believe Opera let’s you have custom scripts as well so it may work with that as well) and go to userscripts.org and get the loopy script (it is a script that let’s you loop a Youtube video infinitely with a little tag button that you press and let it rock) It’s great for videos you actually want to watch.
I realize the apparent hypocrisy of asking people to use fanboi tactics against the fanbois but when in Rome….
Check out evolution of dance after the break and allow it to keep it’s top spot until a REAL viral video tops it. (how the fuck isn’t Star Wars kid the top?)
