Site update: neuropathy
Real quick, I had to add a new ad format that gives one of those full page overlays every couple of page views but you should allegedly only see it 2 times in a day. I had to do it because, well, this shit is expensive and I wasn’t getting quite enough clicks on the regular ads to keep the site up and running comfortably.
If something about it is going nuts (like you are seeing it after every post you click on) please leave a comment and let me know because that would be rather annoying if it did that.
I will get some actual posts up today too despite my hand sprain which kinda feels like a fire being lit on my hand. Fun.

thankfully it’s been a slow day. I am battling a sprained hand right now which makes typing basically a searing pain of horror and despair which is a great thing when you job and your hobbies (this blog and playing guitar) require heavy use of one’s hands. Lovely.
Having gone through this before, I am guessing it will take 4 days to be 100% at least so expect a lot more video posts since they are far less typing and if I get a bad flare up some links only posts (which I might start adding more of anyway)

So there is a dearth of interesting items to write about unless you’d like me to dredge up some items from the 1930′s, that Randolph Scott has been begging to be taken to the sword. (no not Cary Grant’s meat sword, he’s already had plenty of that)
Also, I am working on a possible redesign that would allow me to keep everything in one place (and make the currently massive database more manageable. We’ll see how that works out. Don’t expect anything for at least a couple of weeks though.

So it’s a holiday today so the updates will be a bit sparse. Sorry, I like to relax once in a while and since this site doesn’t pay my bills I can’t put full time attention to it unfortunately.

So I posted some updates lat last night for today because I feared I would be getting hammered for widower’s valentine’s day; and I was correct.
I’ll try to get a few things up later, but I can’t make any guarantees.
Oh and I am a big boy now, ma! People Magazine (who will no longer be mentioned on this site whom, despite my urgings in the past, I strongly advise you NOT to buy at the news stand or view online or subscribe to) had their cronies ask me to take down the tiny pic of the cover shot with Christina Aguilera I posted a few day ago. Hell, I didn’t even post the rest of the photo set like at least 30 other websites did; who probably didn’t have permission either.
I admit no wrongdoing here, in fact, I believe that if they knew I was a wealthier, better resourced entity they wouldn’t have bothered since it’s a clear case of Fair Use. However, since I have no money, have a fan site not a corporate entity there is little good that can come from me spending my last $50 I have to my name on legal fees just to prove a point. It sucks since other people are hurt by it, but what can I do? So I did what they asked since it is their cover. (but it’s not their picture BTW–someone else took a picture of the magazine cover)
Oh well, it has been taken down and won’t return. If you really need to see it, I don’t know what to tell you. I’m sure they’ve had everyone pull it since they obviously believe people only get their celeb gossip waiting in line at the grocery store.
If you are in the market for magazine form weekly magazines, US Magazine and OK! are probably much better options for your needs than People and they update their websites DAILY so you should definitely check them everyday as well as between them they get more news scoops and info that ANY blogger out there. Bookmark them and visit them everyday and click on their ads. Support magazines that still believe in Fair Use Clauses under the DMCA like I believe they do. I have posted links to covers on both of their magazines and the click thru’s from people going from this site to their site has been thru the roof (as ‘thru the roof’ as click thrus get on my tiny site) Which tells me one thing: 1)people were unaware of the cover. 2) once they were made aware (by me) they went to the magazine’s site and investigated further and made money for the magazine.
Seems like a fair arrangement to me. Oh well; some win some lose. Later, People.
