Not for me. I couldn’t care any less about the SAG awards. They are a quarter notch above the People’s Choice awards in my awards watching heirarchy that essentially includes the Oscars and the occasional MTV movie/music awards.
The only reason anyone pays half an ounce of attention to this shit is because most of the Academy (ya, know, the one that votes on the Oscars) is made up of actors. So their votes usually determine who wins.
Sadly, the SAG awards only have 2 categories that are in line with the Oscars. Thus, their irrelevance.

The Duchess of Cornwall & homewrecker, Camilla Parker Bowles was invited to the Lady Di memorial (for some reason) but she sensibly decided to stay away from the affair. She issued the following statement:
“I’m very touched to have been invited by Prince William and Prince Harry to attend the memorial service for their mother Diana, Princess of Wales. I accepted and wanted to support them. However, on reflection I believe my attendance could divert attention from the purpose of the occasion which is to focus on the life and service of Diana. I’m grateful to my husband, William and Harry for supporting my decision.”
I have a hard time giving a fuck. I know there are tons of ‘royals watchers’ who like to pretend it’s them wearing the crown. Thus my only reason to post this. I hope you were all enthralled.

Look at him. Plain Jane douche bag. Does anyone know how he "ascended" to fame? I do. Can you tell me? Probably not. Doesn’t that kinda raise a red flag for you that perhaps his star is a manufactured one?
He sucks. He came to ‘fame’ making a short for a website I’m sure few have hear about. He was snapped up by Saturday Night Live and he sucks on that. Did you see his "brilliant" skit about a couple who have Quatto like aliens living in their human hosts like the creature from Total Recall (yes, the same movie that is now almost 20 years old)? Yeah, the height of comedy.
South Park did this joke 4 years before he did and actually did it humorously. Samberg on the other hand, constructed a bullshit 15 minute skit that required 12 minutes of historical set up to help "tell you" why it was in fact funny. Even with all of that, it still sucked.
Sure I’ll give him his due on Dick In A Box and Lazy Sunday; but that’s 2 skits in about 1000 turds, and Lazy Sunday was 90% funny because of Chris Parnell so don’t go patting yourself on the back too much, dickhead.
Now after all that ‘success’ he is featured as one of Access Hollywood’s Rising Stars and is being given a leading role in a major motion picture?!?! ( Hot Rod )
What the fuck gives? He MUST have pictures of someone powerful giving his dog a rusty trombone or something because there is no reason he deserves a leading role in a major motion picture.
Wil Ferrell toiled for YEARS on SNL and doing bit parts in movies and he is funnier than Samberg by a factor of at least 5000000.
For the love of God, don’t see Hot Rod. Maybe they will stop letting him put out his ponderous shit and they will fire him from SNL and life on earth may have a chance. As it stand now I would sooner get a hydrochloric acid enema than ever see this tool on my TV or movie screen again.

OK, maybe I don’t get it. Maybe the rule that celebrities had to at least look semi-attractive has flown out the window; but who gives a fuck about Amy Winehouse?
There some websites who gush over her and pour every single bit of minutiae about her life. She was on the covers of Rolling Stone and Spin recently and I still didn’t get it.
A few things that are wrong with this.
1) The music is "OK" at best. Go to any church on the South Side of Chicago and you’ll hear 50 girls who can belt out soul and jazz standards out with more moxy and panache than Ms. Winehouse and do it without aping someone else’s style
2) She’d ugly. Sorry, but it matters. There was a time a person in the music biz could be ugly. It was called the time before videos. Now if you are fug, you get out, or get someone hot in your group. If you look at the picture above it’s also quite obvious that she loves the cocaine and hates the food.
3) She sells records in the UK, not in the US. Nothing wrong with selling records in the UK, it’s a decent sized market with influence, but everyone knows the US market it the big cherry to pop in music. Her first album sold a million worldwide bolstered mostly by UK sales. The latest EP peaked at #9 on the US charts. Not exactly lighting it up. There was another artist like that; Robbie Williams. Ask 10 of your friends if they know who Robbie Williams is and I’m sure in most cases they will give you an odd look and say "Is he an athlete or something?"
So what do we have? An overrated songstress who is mostly famous because she drinks, snorts etc her way half into the grave and can sing a bit who isn’t exactly super huge. So the question is begged; who is it who gives a fuck about Amy Winehouse? Please tell me.
